David Grout joins Affleck Greene McMurtry LLP after earning his Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School.

During law school, he contributed to Osgoode student life by serving as the Chair of Mental Health of the Osgoode Peer Support Centre. As chair, he organized events for students to unwind and decompress from the stressors of law school, including therapy dog rooms and art therapy painting events. Dave also served as Vice President of the Osgoode Chess Club and helped organize the Osgoode Open tournament with both student and alumni competitors.

Prior to articling, Dave competed in the Ontario Trial Lawyers’ Association Cup and was recognized with the H. Bruce Hillyer Award for Best Closing. He is excited to bring his business experience and developing legal skills to the firm.
